When it comes to Alphabet books, I look for unique and educational. This fits both categories perfectly. This Caldecott Honor book illustrator took the 26 letters and turned them into 26 animals from different parts of the world. Each page/letter contains the class, habitat, location range, threats and status of endangerment. The back of the book provides more information on each of the animals and a drawing of them. This would be a great introduction on conservation and animals or even art. Having children draw their own animals from each letter would be a great exercise.
