Although dated now, this book shares a story about a culturally diverse neighborhood where everyone cooks rice. As this little girl go around to find her brother for dinner, she samples food from her neighbors and is full when she arrives home for her own dinner. The back of the book has recipes for each of the dinners the neighborhood was having. Great to use in the classroom or home with cooking as an extension activity.
